Seminyak packs a large number of restaurants into a few streets, so the easiest way to choose is by street and by style. This guide groups Pinlora's Seminyak restaurant listings that way. It is a starting map, not a ranking: every venue below is a place we list and have matched to its Google Maps listing, and none of them has paid to be here.

Jalan Kayu Aya: the "Eat Street"

Kayu Aya is the street most visitors mean when they say Seminyak dining. Warung Nia sits in Kayu Aya Square and is known for Balinese barbecue, with pork ribs on the menu. Ultimo Italian has been open for more than two decades. Chandi, a Pan-Asian restaurant from Chef Agung Nugroho, opened in 2008. Sea Circus is a pastel café, restaurant and cocktail bar, and La Favela is a large themed restaurant that doubles as a nightlife venue.

Jalan Petitenget: design-led dining

Petitenget is where several of the more architectural restaurants sit. Merah Putih serves Indonesian food in a striking dining hall. Bambu Restaurant is built around lotus ponds and Javanese timber pavilions. Mauri Restaurant is contemporary Italian from Chef Maurizio Bombini, and Da Maria is a modern Italian osteria. Sangsaka cooks modern Indonesian food over live fire, Barbacoa is a Latin American grill, and Ling-Ling's Bali serves Asian fusion tapas with cocktails. Sardine looks over working rice fields from an open-air bamboo structure.

On the sand

If you want the sea in view, Petitenget and Seminyak beaches have restaurants right on them. La Lucciola has stood beside Petitenget Temple for over thirty years. Mano Beach House pairs a restaurant with a pool and loungers on the same beach, and Breeze at Samaya is a beachfront restaurant on Jalan Kayu Aya. For sunset drinks with a beanbag, La Plancha is a beach bar on Double Six. Our sunset spots guide has more.

Asian kitchens on Jalan Raya

Mama San, on Jalan Raya Kerobokan, is a Pan-Asian restaurant from Chef Will Meyrick. Bo & Bun combines French and Vietnamese influences, and Jackson Lily's is a two-storey modern Asian bistro. Ginger Moon, from the same chef, focuses on sharing plates inspired by Bali and Indonesia.

Plant-based, local and casual

Kynd Community is a vegetarian café with a mostly vegan menu, and Biku serves Indonesian food with tea in a restored teakwood joglo house. For roast suckling pig, Babi Guling Pak Malen is the listing to try; our local warungs guide explains how to order, and the vegan and vegetarian guide covers meat-free options across the island.

Steak, Mexican and late nights

Boy'N'Cow is a steakhouse with an on-site dry-aging facility, and Motel Mexicola is a multi-level Mexican restaurant with a lively party reputation on Jalan Kayu Jati. Expect these to be busier and louder at night.

How to choose

  • Book ahead for beachfront tables at sunset and for popular dinner slots.
  • Check the menu and prices on the venue's own page before you go; we do not list prices because they change.
  • Allow for traffic: moving between Kayu Aya and Petitenget can take longer than the distance suggests in the evening.
