La Plancha
$$ Busy 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM (Sunset) Found on Google Maps 1 Oct 2026
La Plancha is Seminyak's pioneering beachfront sunset venue, established in 2010 on the golden sands of Mesari Beach (Double Six). Instantly recognized by its vivid sea of multicolored beanbag chairs and fringed Balinese umbrellas set directly on the beach, it established Bali's iconic sand-lounge sunset culture. Housed in a two-story rustic wooden Spanish chiringuito shack, the restaurant serves grilled seafood skewers, traditional Spanish tapas, and chilled pitchers of fruit-infused sangria. As sunset approaches, resident DJs spin tropical house and disco tunes, turning the shoreline into one of Bali's most vibrant and festive open-air sunset gatherings.
Insider tips
-
01
Secure Front-Row Beanbags Early. Beanbag seating on the sand fills up quickly; arrive by 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM to claim front-row loungers right at the water's edge before the sunset crowd arrives.
-
02
Order Sangria by the Pitcher. Their signature red and white Spanish sangrias, loaded with fresh tropical fruits, are best ordered by the pitcher to share among friends as the sun goes down.
-
03
Second-Floor Sunset View. If all the beach beanbags are occupied, head upstairs to the rustic wooden second-story balcony for breezy elevated views of the Seminyak coastline and DJ booth.
