About Pinlora
The discovery layer for Bali.
Bali doesn’t lack recommendations. It has too many. Pinlora helps you decide what is actually right for your trip: places we have checked, the local context people plan around, and one map that keeps it together.

Why we built it
Planning Bali usually means Google Maps, then TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, a few blogs and a WhatsApp group. The information is everywhere, some of it out of date, and none of it knows what kind of trip you want. A café that closed last month still has five stars. A road is shut for a ceremony and nobody mentioned it.
We don’t try to list every place in Bali. We list the ones worth your time, keep them current, and add the context that decides a good day: when to go, how busy it gets, what is on nearby.
What you can do on Pinlora today
- Find places on the map by area, type and price, each with tips, busy hours and how to get there.
- See festivals, holy days and closures next to the places they affect, so you can plan around them.
- Read stories and area guides that link straight to the places in them.
- Save places and turn them into a day-by-day plan, without an account.
How we check places
Every place carries a line that says how it was checked and when:
- Found on Google Maps, with a date: we confirmed the place exists, is open and is where our pin says, from its own listing.
- Checked by Pinlora, with a date: someone on our team has checked its details.
- Pinlora score: given only after a visit by our team. We are just starting these visits, so most places don’t have a score yet.
We re-check places on a rolling basis. A place that closes, moves or changes its name is taken off the map until a person has looked at it. Spotted something out of date? Write to [email protected].
What is never for sale
Our picks, our write-ups, our tips and our scores are never for sale. No business can pay to rank higher or to change what we say about it.
- Hours, photos, menus and prices sent by a business are shown with “from” and its name, apart from our own review.
- If we show sponsored placements, they are marked Sponsored and sit outside our recommendations. They never change our order or our scores.
- Some booking links earn us a commission. They are labelled, and they cost you nothing extra.
Where we are going
Today Pinlora is a curated map and guide. Next, it learns what kind of trip you want, a couple’s five days in Seminyak or a family week in Sanur, and turns the right places into a plan you can save, share and book. Bali first, then other destinations in Southeast Asia.
Who is behind Pinlora
Christian Immanuel, founder, product and engineering. Christian is an Indonesian software engineer who builds web platforms, and the automation behind them, for businesses in Bali’s travel and wellness scene. Seeing how hard it is for visitors to tell which recommendations are still true, he built Pinlora end to end: the map, the checks that keep places current, the tools for businesses and the analytics.
