Busy 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM Found on Google Maps 1 Oct 2026
Nyang Nyang Beach is a pristine, 1.5-kilometer expanse of golden-white sand and wild coastal beauty situated beneath towering limestone bluffs in Pecatu, Uluwatu. Long revered as one of Bali's most secluded and untouched coastal stretches, the beach has preserved its raw, adventurous spirit while becoming more accessible thanks to a paved cliffside access road. The shoreline is famed for the colorful, graffiti-painted remnants of an abandoned vessel hull resting half-buried in the sand, creating an iconic photography subject against the turquoise surf. Backed by dense tropical cliff greenery, it serves as a favored launch and landing zone for tandem paragliders soaring high on the coastal thermals.
Insider tips
-
01
Graffiti Shipwreck Photography. Walk approximately 10 to 15 minutes eastward along the sandy shoreline to find the vibrant street-art painted shipwreck hulls, one of Bali's most celebrated photographic landmarks.
-
02
Low-Tide Lagoon Swimming. Swimming is only safe during low to mid-tide when the receding water reveals calm, shallow turquoise lagoons; high tide creates heavy shorebreaks crashing directly over the shallow coral reef.
-
03
Tandem Paragliding Spectacle. Look up to the clifftops to watch colorful paragliders launch from the ridge above, or book a tandem flight with local cliff-based flight schools for breathtaking aerial views of the entire southern peninsula.
