Bingin Beach
Busy 09:00 AM - 11:00 AM Found on Google Maps 1 Oct 2026
Bingin Beach is a surf beach beneath the cliffs of Pecatu on Bali's Bukit Peninsula. A steep path leads to its narrow sand and reef break. Local authorities removed 48 unauthorized structures in the area in 2025 and were planning new access and facilities in 2026; check current conditions before visiting.
Insider tips
-
01
Tide Awareness is Crucial. Always check the tide forecast before visiting; high tide engulfs the sand entirely against cliff rocks, while low tide exposes wide sandy stretches and calm swimming lagoons.
-
02
Changing Facilities. Beachfront facilities have changed during redevelopment; check current services rather than planning around old warung listings.
-
03
Pack Light for the Stairs. The descent down the limestone cliff involves a steep, uneven stair route; wear sensible footwear and keep your beach bag light for the strenuous climb back up.
Good to know
- Access
- The beach is reached by a steep cliff path. Confirm the current route, parking arrangements and facilities before travelling because the area is being redeveloped.
- Preparation
