Conceived by the husband-and-wife creative duo of Moroccan interior designer Zohra Boukhari and Belgian antique dealer Blaise Samoy (A'iesha Group), The Bistrot is an enchanting vintage-chic dining institution on Seminyak's Jalan Kayu Aya. Housed inside a cavernous structure evoking a 1930s Parisian brasserie married to an industrial Brooklyn loft, the interior showcases soaring arched factory ceilings, exposed red brickwork, wrought-iron balustrades, opulent crystal chandeliers, and plush velvet-upholstered antique banquettes. The kitchen prepares classic French comfort cuisine enriched with subtle international nuances, highlighting house-made Foie Gras Terrine, Fillet Mignon au Poivre Vert, Steak Tartare, and warm Young Mango Tarte Tatin. Spanning two ambient floors with an intimate cocktail salon on the upper mezzanine, the venue provides a transportive, romantic sanctuary from Seminyak's tropical heat.

Insider tips

  1. 01

Mezzanine Balcony Tables. Book a table on the second-floor mezzanine lounge overlooking the grand hall for the most romantic ambiance and best perspective of the antique chandeliers.

  2. 02

Quiet Afternoon Hideaway. Visit between 2:30 PM and 5:00 PM when the dining room is peacefully quiet, making it an ideal air-conditioned haven for artisanal coffee, tea, and French desserts.

  3. 03

Scooter Drop-Off Advised. Jalan Kayu Aya suffers from extreme traffic gridlock and near-zero roadside car parking; arrive by scooter or request Gojek/Grab drop-off right at the entrance.
