Bali Botanic Garden, officially known as Kebun Raya Bali or Eka Karya Bedugul, is Indonesia's largest botanical garden, spanning over 157 hectares on the mist-shrouded slopes of Mount Pohen. Established in 1959 at an altitude of approximately 1,300 meters above sea level, the garden is dedicated to mountain plant conservation, botanical research, and public education. The sprawling estate boasts expansive manicured lawns, towering century-old ficus trees, a vast bamboo forest, and specialized conservatories housing rare orchids, begonias, and carnivorous pitcher plants. Its cool alpine climate and scenic mountain vistas make it a cherished weekend retreat for nature walks, family picnics, and forest birdwatching.
