Skool Kitchen
$ Busy 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM (Dinner) Found on Google Maps 2 Oct 2026
Born from a heavyweight collaboration between Tai Buddha (The Lawn, Times Beach Warung) and Adam McAsey (8 Degree Projects, Sisterfields), Skool Kitchen is an elevated culinary destination perched directly above The Lawn at Batu Bolong Beach. Helmed by Executive Chef Vallian Gunawan, the restaurant champions the philosophy of "Primitive Cooking, Modern Dining," utilizing an open hearth where natural wood and charcoal embers touch every single dish and cocktail component. The intimate oceanfront dining room combines brutalist architectural lines with warm timber, custom contemporary art by Steve Gorrow and Ricky Lee Gordon, an analog vinyl lounge spinning 80s classics, and an open balcony framing crashing waves. Signature fire-crafted creations include coal-baked beetroot with smoked stracciatella, slow-roasted 3-day marinated lamb shoulder, charred octopus, and Kagoshima A5 Wagyu.
