InterContinental Bali Resort is an iconic 14-hectare 5-star beachfront landmark positioned along the calm, golden sands of Jimbaran Bay. Opened in 1993, the resort was conceived by renowned architecture firm Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo (WATG) with lush tropical landscape architecture by legendary Australian designer Michael White (Made Wijaya). The architecture honors traditional Balinese royal palace design, weaving stone bridges, ornamental lotus ponds, towering hand-carved stone reliefs, and mature coconut groves across expansive oceanfront gardens. The resort features 430 rooms, suites, and private pool villas, complemented by six swimming pools, including a 35-meter beachfront main pool. Jimbaran Sunset at Sunset Beach Bar. Reserve an oceanfront barrel chair or beach cabana at Sunset Beach Bar & Grill around 5:00 PM to watch Jimbaran's fiery sunsets and traditional jukung fishing boats returning across the bay.

Safe Ocean Swimming. Unlike the heavy reef breaks of Canggu and Uluwatu, the beach fronting the resort has gentle surf and fine sand, making it one of Bali's safest beaches for ocean swimming at any tide.
