Hungry Bird Coffee Roaster is Canggu's foundational specialty coffee institution and micro-roastery, established in 2013 by champion Indonesian barista and roaster Edo on Jalan Raya Semat in Tibubeneng. Starting as a modest roadside coffee shack, it evolved into an internationally respected roasting house that supplies premium specialty beans to premier cafes across the Indonesian archipelago. The airy, industrial-rustic venue features in-house Diedrich roasters, exposed concrete, and communal wooden tables. Hungry Bird is revered for its signature house blends—the chocolatey \"Berawa Blend\" and citrusy \"Semat Blend\"—alongside an unpretentious, remarkably affordable all-day breakfast menu featuring fluffy buttermilk pancakes, eggs benedict, and artisan smash avocado toasts.
