Nusantara at Nuanu: Nine Indonesian Food Regions in One Bali Stop

The new Tabanan destination brings regional Indonesian cooking, coffee and an artefact exhibition together at Nuanu Creative City.

Nusantara opened at Nuanu Creative City in Tabanan in August 2026 with a clear idea: let visitors explore Indonesian regional food within one destination. Its operator describes dishes and techniques drawn from Java, Sumatra, Bali, Lombok, Sulawesi, Kalimantan, Sumba, Flores and Madura.

Three ways to eat at Nusantara

Warung Nine Islands is the all-day regional dining option. Nuanu’s opening announcement says its kitchen grinds spice pastes each morning and lists mains from IDR 120,000. Meja 36 is the contemporary tasting-menu room; the launch information lists a menu at IDR 499,000 per person. The Mangrove Café focuses on single-origin coffee from several Indonesian islands, alongside sweets using flavours such as pandan and palm sugar.

These are launch details, not a guarantee of today’s price or menu. Check Nuanu’s current venue information before travelling, especially if you need to reserve a tasting-menu seat.

There is more than a meal

The complex also includes The Gallery. Its opening exhibition, Indonesian Vision, was announced with 1,000 tribal artefacts curated by Pascal Morabito and digital guides explaining their cultural context. A visit can therefore pair a meal with time in the gallery and the wider creative-city site.

Nuanu is in Tabanan, west of Canggu. Check the official ticket page for current site-entry arrangements and factor the transfer into your itinerary. This is a venue overview based on its published information; we have not independently reviewed each dish or the exhibition.
