One of Bali's oldest and most highly regarded temples, famous globally for its "Gates of Heaven" which perfectly frame Mount Agung in the distance. The complex actually consists of seven temples along the hiking path of Mount Lempuyang.

The Mirror Trick. The famous \'reflection\' photos you see online are created by a local holding a mirror under your smartphone lens. You pay a small donation for this.

The Queue. To get that photo, you will be given a queue number. If you arrive after 9 AM, expect to wait 2-4 hours just for a 2-minute photo slot.

Hike Further. Most tourists only visit the first gate. Hike up to the higher temples for genuine serenity and amazing forest views without the crowds.
